How the conversion works
Buying shoes online from an American store while living in the UK, or the other way round, is the classic case where sizes go wrong. The two countries number shoes from different starting points, and the gap is different for men and women. Use this converter to find your UK size from a US size, then check the brand's own size chart before you order.
Men's US sizes are about one size larger than UK sizes. Women's US sizes are about two sizes larger than UK sizes. A men's US 9 is a UK 8; a women's US 8 is a UK 6.
