Time Converters
Time is unusual among unit families because it is not decimal: 60 seconds make a minute, 60 minutes make an hour and 24 hours make a day. That makes mental conversion error-prone when you are working out billable hours, project timelines, cooking times or video lengths. These converters do the arithmetic instantly and show the conversion factors, so you can plan schedules and calculate durations accurately.

Things to know about time conversions
- Time is not decimal: there are 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour and 24 hours in a day.
- To convert decimal hours to hours and minutes, multiply the decimal part by 60. For example, 2.25 hours is 2 hours 15 minutes.
- Months and years vary in length, so they are not included as fixed units here. A regular year has 8,760 hours; a leap year has 8,784.
