Things to know about area conversions
- Because area is two-dimensional, conversion factors are the square of the length factors. One foot is 0.3048 m, so one square foot is 0.0929 square meters.
- An acre is 43,560 square feet and a hectare is 10,000 square meters. One hectare is about 2.47 acres.
